i wouldnt buy a new engine with low compression it the the rings on the pistons you could have the lower end of your engine rebuilt and that would be cheaper then a new engine bc its the bad rings on the 2 pistons causing your low compression

i have a 2004 sunfire and i have no probelms with mine. If u do decide to swap out the engines, get the 2.0L supercharged ecotech

my sunfire has 43.500 miles on it, after 125,000 miles i will switch the engines and get the 2.0L ecotech

umm..another thing is to switch all ur spark plugs and cables

No, you shouldn't buy a new engine. You should buy a new car. No sense throwing good money after bad, right?
