Both geeks and nerds are smart (dorks are stupid). Geeks are very good at technical stuff. Usually at school everybody laughs at them and then some years later they all go to work for them. Nerds, on the other hand, are very clever and abscent-minded - they seem not to care about petty things.

geeks stink and are socially unpopular wile nerds are solitary and are probability some one you will end up working for because they are so smart. nerd is somewhat of a complement wile geek is a major put down.
