Is marriage something that men want just as much as women, or is it something that men feel is forced on them from women? I'd like to know or hear from men who are happily married or people who know of happily married men.

I think it depends on the man and his level of maturity. Younger men (under 30) are usually not as ready to settle down as men over 30 are. Many men would prefer to wait until they've established themselves career-wise before getting married; this is why typically older men (over 30) are more marriage ready than younger men are.
That said, some men never grow up completely, so you can't always take age as an indicator of marital readiness.

The adult ones do. Some men like to have a home with a family in it to go to while some just want to have a warm body in a bed now and then.

Decent men would want to get married, though, if a woman gives a man everything like they were married, then the man won't get married.

I think that it is something that a man wants more than a women. My uncle and aunt have been married for 35 years and they are both still happy with one another.

men can be happily married when we eventually get round to doin it. its just the gettin married that we dont usually wanna do. seems like too many sacrifices

my husband was looking for someone to "settle down with" when we got together. he was thrilled to get married. he was the one who wanted a formal wedding even. i just wanted to go to the JP, but he insisted we do it "right".
we've been happily married for 3 years.
the key is to find one mature enough to know the true meaning of marriage.

My husband flew 2000 miles on a plain to come to Canada to get married to me. I'd have to say yes. If he didn't want to get married, he wouldn't have done that.

I loved being married, but she didn't. Neither one of us has been married since, and it's been nine years now. I would love to be married again.

Yeah you see some men really want to get married when they have achive all what they want to achive.
