I don't know about anyone else, but that statement sounds a wee bit racist to me.

I don't think everything is racist. I think it's the opposite. Some white people think things like the United ***** fund and BET is racist., so they are the ones who cry racism all the time. So you are wrong there.

If in a conversation one person says so and so is racist then one of them is surely racist.

And it's not the silent one.

In a way, everyone is racist, at least until they get to know the person behind the color. If that makes any sense. I have had a couple of black coworkers and one is still working with us and he is very sweet. The other would come into to work dressed like he just crawled out of bed and could not find a pair jeans that fit. I have worked with Mexicans. One that was a hard worker and went on to a higher paying job and the other got a job long enough to get her benefits from the state and then quit. I know she did this because I spoke to her case worker and her mentor. Then there are the white people that are commonly called "white trash" (no offense), and I have worked with a couple of these people too. They are poor, uneducated and lack manners of any sort.

It is not a matter of color. People say it is, but it is about the person. Are they worthy to be trusted and respected?

Yes, there are white and black groups that lash out against the other races and this wrong. There is stereotyping and this is wrong as well, but it does happen.

So, before we pass judgment on anyone, why don't we get to know them and then decide if they are the kind of people you wish to associate with. Besides, who are we to judge anybody?
Also, how much can you really know about a person based on what kind of questions they post or how they answer questions?

I agree with you some people in this race are predjidous and some arent same with other races every person is individual and has their own individual thought not everyone has the same thought so were not all racists so it's not right to put other people in a group just because of the way they look, their age, their height, or because of their sock color. If you do, that's what you can call being racist.

The point is that if we had a White College Fund, White Entertainment Television, Miss White America, NAAWP, it would be shut down immediately because it would be "racist." Yet, a black college fund is not.

How can you not see the problem with that? If you're not a racist, then push to have those racist organizations shut down.

I would like to share my experience with you. I see a problem with black community here. I have been living in Europe for more than a year. I think for decades they have been reflecting on the past on how they were treated. Some of them want to go back to their roots which will only remind them of slavery. "I am treated unfairly because I am black" echoes each time I am with them. If they change their mindset and get over the pain of their forefathers, I believe they can create their dreams too. To be creative, pro-active and competitive is the key to success, nomatter what color you are. Do my statement make me a racist?

There are plenty of really poor whites,If we called ours the United White College Fund -would blacks be offended?

Or if we had a WET-White Entertainment Channel-black people would be rioting and ripping up there own neighborhoods again

So its only racist if Whites do it....oh okay -I get that

added:you know-if there were a WET, the blacks in this country would scream racism-SCREAM-ole Jessie Jackson would have a coronary

No. How many times have you heard a black person make racial slurs about another race? What would happen to a non-black if they used the N word? Though they say it to each other all the time.
And how many times have blacks changed what we are all supposed call them? Now it's "African American" Are all blacks from Africa? What about Jamaicans, they are black but not from Africa. When a black person calls me an Irish/English American, I'll call them African American.
