I'm about to turn 34, and while I know it's not "old" per se, it is kind of scarey to know that the kids I babysat have jobs of their own now after finishing college. I will be getting married next year, and hopefully having a couple kids soon after. I used to think 70 was old, but my dad is going to be 70 next year. Now, it doesn't seem that old to me since he doesn't seem to have changed much over the years except for retiring. He stays active, exercises, and still is my "daddy".

To me though, it's kind of scarey to think you can't go back....and getting older is a bit scarey.

Your opinions?

I would be lying if i say it doesn't scare me. But now i know its all in the mind. As they say " you are as old as you think". I am 30 now, i was **** scare of turning 30 when i was 28. I may be 30 but i still do things that i did when i was 20, so it keeps me young. I guess i will be 18 till i die .

I am 67 and look and feel quite well. I think the "scary" part comes from not being sure of where you're going. Going back isn't an option and I wouldn't want it to be. We learn from the mistakes we've made (or hopefully we do) and without going through the times we've gone through we wouldn't be the people we are now. Live each day trying to please God, being a loving compassionate person and giving your very best to each task you undertake and you won't worry about age. Age is a state of mind anyway and thinking young will keep you young at heart.

I recently turned 47. I look at life and treasure every single moment. I have been saddened many times by seeing friends and family pass away due to illness. I cannot help but notice famous movie stars pass away that I grew up watching on TV.
I don't know. It is a funny thing about life. I treasure life much more as I get older and have less of a tolerance for acts of stupidity. I find that I care about others more and their well being.
Go figure......

Getting old is a life process and many people have gone through it. I would not be the worst of it all.

Live in the present.
Live in the moment; in every moment.
The past is gone; the future is yet to come.
