Not in our city. We are told not to put them in the Recycling. They go in the regular trash and to the dump.

I am not sure but I put a bag of walmart bags in with my recyclable stuff and they took everything BUT that bag. I dont know why, it's plastic. I know walmart has a place for these bags at their stores but I figured it would be taken. At one point I literally had a huge black garbage bag packed full of WalMart bags that I planned to take to the store and drop off. Damn bags.

I thought that there were people that worked at the waste plant that had the job of going through garbage and taking out recyclable stuff. I know that would be a disgusting and time comsuming job but I could have sworn I thought they did that somewhere. Imagine how much less waste there would be at the dump if they did that.

In our community we use the blue plastic garbage bags from the grocery store to recycle and I called the recycling center and asked if they took the bottles and cans out of the bags first and the lady on the phone told me NO! I find that odd.
