STDs, HIV, and AIDS do not discriminate. U can get them at any age, anytime, with anyone, anywhere. Just be smart and protect yourself by practicing abstinence or using condoms.
And for those that are dissing this question, get a life. At least she's being smart by asking about it. There are plenty of young kids out there that don't ask and thus end up pregnant or with a disease. So don't knock her down for asking, give her good advice!

It doesn't matter how old a person is they could still carry a disease whether it's an STD or another contagious disease. My advice don't have sex until you both get a blood test together to prove you both don't have a disease and until you are ready for sex.

you always have a chance of getting a disease from someone else. Diseases do not ask your age. If you are having unprotected sex of any kind then you are at risk.

At the age of 12, that should be the last thing on your mind,,,,,not only are you to young to date, you are not old enough to get involved sexual.... Some times I think there is no good age,,,,,,, enjoy your life, don't ruin it.

If you have oral sex. yes there's always a chance. 12 is a bit early don't you think. Ask yourself are you totally comfortable with this and have you discussed this with enough people?

don't have sex and now you want get anything you just need to be a kid. don't even worry about sex right now. If it's to late and you have talk to your mom that would be the best.

look i'm not a doctor but having sex at your age isn't right you should talk to your mom and yes no matter how old you are it is possiable to get an STD i'm trying to help. please be careful!!!
