It sounds like someone has a vendetta against you or is stalking you. The person is throwing eggs and not bricks at your car, which indicates that the perp is probably either female or an adolescent. ( Example: A guy would just throw a brick through your windshield). I would go to the police, register that someone is committing "criminal mischief" and ask that they parole the area. Also- "log" in when this happens and try to establish a pattern. You might also want to get a sensor installed on your house near where the car is parked and maybe a camera. If that's too expensive then also notify your neighbors that there is someone who is vandalizing your property and ask them to keep a close eye on people behaving oddly. You might also want to tell your neighbors that you've notified the police (in case it's a neighbor who is doing this). Good Luck!

Set up a video camera befor you go to bed like in the window or hidden somewhere outside and try to catch them! If that doesn't work call the Cops to come out and watch under cover, to catch them!

You can buy a survalance camera pretty cheap that you can mount (mount thats a funny word ) just about anywhere.
