I know there are a lot of resorts that have huts that sit on top of the water, but I'm looking for the one that has that, but also has a section of the floor in the hut that is clear and you can see into the water.

Tahiti is very unique and the only place in the world you can get these over the water bungalows with glass bottom floors that in some open up to where you can feed the fish. At night they also have lights below that you can turn on to attract the fish. With the lights to at night it can make some of the fish just look that much nicer!

There is ONE place in Fiji that has these; however they are no where near Tahiti's. This is why Tahiti is so expensive; there is just no other place on earth like it.

Over water bungalows are available at virtually all of the properties on all the islands that are inhabited by resorts.

Be careful on choosing where to stay. You can "think" you are getting a great price and affordable and then go there and realize your accommodations are literally a step up from camping. So depending on your budget, you might find your money will go further than here. Many people do inquire of here, but hardly any actually go just because it is that expensive.

What some will do is not stay in the over water bungalows the entire time, but split and stay maybe 4 nights in a beach or garden bungalow and then the remainder in the over water. The costs of these tend to run $500 - 1,300 per night depending on the resort, size of the bungalow, if it is a standard or horizon bungalow, etc.

Bora Bora is a bit more expensive than Moorea, but the over water bungalows are nicer in Bora Bora due to the water levels and clarity. The actual island of Tahiti, in Papeete is going to be the least expensive island. Some of the hotels here don't have the over water bungalows. Tahiti is very quiet and laid back. This is the ultimate relax and get lazy type trip. Of course though there are some local tours to experience. Nothing really much on shopping or local places to eat or drink though.

Keep in mind to if one wants to get married here; weddings here are not recognized by the US.

If you are planning on going to Tahiti or looking into it email me if you like and I can send you my contact info. I would love to work with you in putting this together.

No matter which way you go on this though have a fantastic time!

There are huts on some of the Islands of Tahiti that have glass bottom floors. I believe both Papeitta and Bora Bora have these. Moreau may also have some.
