This is something you needed to do prior to departure. Many hotels will do this for a fee, however many require the arrangements ie: wedding date and time to be done 30 - 45 days out.

Mexico requirements are you do need to take a blood test IN Mexico. They test for blood type and HIV. If a persons test comes back HIV positive they will not marry you. Not that this is your case.

I have arranged several weddings in Mexico, but never had personal experience with doing one once you go there. This is something I always talk to with my clients or well most of them if nothing else know in advance this is something they are interested in.

I guess it is possible, but if it is I can't imagine it would be easy....sorry but really there is a good chance that you are to late to get this set up. I mean you have to also pay government fees for the Marriage License, a priest who preforms the ceremony. These are more reasons that this needs to be booked in advance. There might be something say like our Justice of the Peace, not sure....

If it does/can work though best of luck to you, again I can't say for sure. Only upon experience on how Weddings work in Mexico.

Don't know about that but if you stay and have time, be sure to rent a car or jeep and go around the entire island and stop off at all the little bars and eateries along the way. One great place is CocoNuts. We've been there twice. Get a margarita and a chicken tortillia. MMMmmm.
