It's best to use both. Like Tiare said, pills prevent pregnancy better than condoms, but the pill won't protect u from STDs. And condoms just lower the risk of pregnancy and STDs, but they are not fool proof. They do break and/or leak. So to protect yourself better use both. And just because u are using both, doesn't mean that it still can't happen......you're just being smart about it and greatly lowering your risk.

All depending on your situation. Birth-control pills are more effective, but not everyone can take them. If you are a smoker, have frequent headaches, high blood pressure, and are on any other medication that could decrease the potency of the PILL, then you should not take it. If you are normally a healthy non-smoker, then birth-control pill is your best option. Condoms, are not always romantic, and could not be available at all times. They can also slip off or break. I must add, that the condom is also good to not contracting some sexually transmitted diseases. But i think the wisest choice would be to use both, safer that way. Some would say abstinence is the best way to go. But come on, this is the 21st century lol.

They are both good. and you shouldn't have sex with out either of them. Condoms protects against STDs and Pregnancy but they can break. Birth control pills prevents pregnancy but does not do anything about STDs and they are 99% effective. So they both have their ups and downs

i advise you to stick with the pills because they're to many unwanted/abortions with babies because of condoms breaking. And my old step mom has used the pills for 35 years and hasn't gotten pregnant yet.

pills are better at preventing pregnancy but do not protect against std's. condoms protect against most std's but not all of them. nothing is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy. so you are always taking a chance

You should look into the other options, which may work better for you. I've heard that the pills mess with your hormones so some people might not even want sex anymore.

Condoms will not interfere with your hormones.

By taking the pill, you are essentially putting yourself into premenopause, with all the same symptoms. Doesn't sound like much fun, does it?
