The first day i got it I read the booklet and it said "leave it charging for about 4 hours" or "until the screen shows "charged" " and i did the latter, now i read somewhere that in order to extend the battery´s life i should have left it charging for 4 hours even when the screen showed "charged".......now i don´t know what and I want ny battery to last longer Can someone help?...also if u own an Ipod video: how long does the battery last for you?

I dont really know how...i acually thought when i bought my I-pod that it will last wayyy longer but it didnt...:(
So i brought Belkins Back up battery pack and u just have to put 4 batteries in it and hook it up to your i-pod...it last EXTREAMLY long....u can buy it at walmart...well thats where i bought mine :D

The exact same thing happened to my ipod. The sucky things about Ipods is their batteries. U should go fix it to an apple store. Once i charged my Ipod for 8 hours and it said that it was fully charged adn when I turned it on it said that no battery remained on the ipod.

well you should leave it chargeing when your sleeping. if you are on any kind of healthy sleeping schedule, it should last from when you get up to when you go to sleep. it's supposed to last 20 hours after at least four hours of charging. you might want to just check it out on apple.com. good luck
