I would go to the movie. Try and agree that if you go to a movie with her, that she'll go watch racing cars on your next date. Relationships are about agreeing on things and making things work together.

Tell your gf to go to the movies with her girls and you go watch racing with the guys! You don't always have to do things "together"...sometimes, getting out with friends is fun!

Well actually he is in the Adolescent page but anyway.. I would say watch your race cars this weekend then make next weekend her weekend. Let her pick what you do and do it with a smile. That way you get to see your race and you still have a happy girlfriend!! Girls love to take control and feel pampered so make sure you keep next weekend for just her and her ideas!

I would compromise. That will give you great practice for adulthood. What makes you think that you can not do both, movie and then watch racing cars?

If it's your date night, you should collaborate to do something you both enjoy. Otherwise, you go watch your race cars and she can go watch her movie.
