Vinyl recordings are pretty much the way of the dinosaur, extinct!
Tapes are headed in that direction too. Actually they are obsolete too.
Someday as technology leaps, CDs will not be the same as you know them. There may be a different tecnhology that makes them obsolete. Or they may be reduced to the size of a penny. Or they may hold 10 hours of music. Or all of the above.
SOME ADVICE - If you're into vinyl, check out classic rock or oldies music. You can get a lot of old vinyl records at thrift stores, used record stores, pawn shops, probably even online. They are probably around $1 or $2 each (more online though). I used to get lots of used records. Be careful with your stylus. It may be hard to replace. They may not make them anymore.

Yes,perhaps 2% of new music is on vinyl. Mostly dance & Rap music. Any large record store will carry vinyl.
