You can't beat a Strat with an original Floyd rose... Sorry.

A vintage Richenbacher will give you an excellent pure tone!

Ovation makes excellent electric/acoustic but only if that is the kind of sound you like. It is a thicker, chunky, thuddy, sound.

I have a beautiful black and white lacquered takamine that is excellent!

nope... the best guitar players still play les pauls and strats, that's all ya need man, they're awesome.

but there are guitars with *different* tones, for example the jaguar and the rickenbacker, or a hollow-body electric

Les Pauls are still the best, in my opinon. Sounds like you have a great rig. Don't change!

If you play rock or maybe blues you have the best!
If you play country, a Fender Telecaster! (Albert Lee)
If you play jazz, a Gibson ES-335 (Larry Carlton)
