Im not the smartest person in the world , but I know from experience that jelousy = insecurity . People that are insecure cannot love themselves and therefore are unable to truely love another person .

My partner is a lot younger than me (how I got my nickname you see) and so if I ever think he's feeling any jealousy I put it down to his age. I think when we are young we have these feelings more, as with age comes, confidence, and an acceptance of what we can't change. We have a fantastic relationship and talk to each other about everything. I always let him know he shouldn't worry because I love and appreciate him so much and know how lucky I am. He doesn't want feelings like these, no-one would, he just can't help it sometimes so I could never be angry with him.

Well.......if it is from someone you care about.......you need to care enough to assure them of the 101 reasons why they never ever have to worry. If they trust you as much as you trust them.......it all works out.

I've found that if their jealousy persists even with trust and reassurance, they may not be exactly what I need in my life. Trust is so important. I would never put someone to the test.......and I think these days, people feel that everything they do means it is a "test." *shrugs* It's just life folks.........the test is long over. Now just live and be true to who you are.

(good question)

For some reason, I am a highly jealous person, maybe a lack of self confidence. Maybe, that is why at this point of my life, I have no "partner".

well..interesting you ask. i just broke up with my boyfriend. he drove me nuts. he thought i was not being faithful to him because i was doing yahoo answers even...which is just STUPID because i dont even communicate with ONE person on here!!!! so strange. he said there are MEN on here who answer my questions and whose questions i answer...as if i am having some big psychological orgy on here. whatever. i am pissed right now...can you tell? there is much more to this story....maybe since you are a man (i am assuming this....) and i am the hester prynne of the yahoo answers community, you can hit me up for chat later and we can convene with our ultra lusty affair. ha ha ha......GOD I AM MAD. i have been so true to this man in every way shape and form...and he has no freaking idea. jealousy is something that kills love. i am learning this the hard way.

I don't have a partner, but ongoing jealousy can be fatal to a relationship.

act overly jealous of them. Most people who are highly jealous of someone, will back off when you are the same towards them. If this don't work tell them you can't handle them acting this way. They either stop or it's over.

I'm sorry, my dealing was pretty extreme: there was no reasoning allowed, jealousy was defended as 'evidence of love'. We parted.
