Denver is one of the best cities in America for steakhouses! I think my husband and I have tried most of them. If you're willing to throw down some serious money, I'd recommend without hesitation The Capital Grille in Larimer Square. Unbelievably good food and service and steaks that will melt in your mouth! Another top notch high-end steakhouse is Sullivan's, on Wazee and 19th. Another really good choice is Elway's, outside the Cherry Creek Mall, a little ways from downtown. Yes, it is owned and run by the man himself, John Elway, who apparently likes to hang out there occasionally.
For less money, but still very high quality, my first choice would be the Denver Chophouse, at Wynkoop and 20th. It's a favorite with some of Denver's sports stars, so keep an eye out if you go. Also, The Keg, across the street, is another good bet.
All these restaurants have websites, so you can get a feel for their menus and prices. There are dozens more places, too, but these are the best in my book. Have a great trip, and dinner!
