What country are you from? Nobody in the US gets locked up for having an affair. It is legal to sue the outsider as the cause of the split though. The only reason someone would go to jail would be if there was violence involved.

It's not illegal in western societies. I wouldn't try adultery in Muslim countries however. You wouldn't live to tell the tale if you were caught... It's immoral though and being a "home wrecker" is not a moniker that I think you would want to go through life with...

Of course it is illegal.A woman in my city sued her husbands mistress for a million dollars and she won.Being married is a lawfull act,if people want to be free then they shouldn't become married.Do you see all the things married people have to go through to get a divorce?Marriage is serious. The cheating spouse will not serve jail time but can be made to compensate his soon to be ex-wife tremendously.I think this is great, for whoever is cheating, the husband,or the wife.If you can't obide by the laws of marriage then don't get married.

Adultery laws vary from state to state.
Men are getting locked up left & right for this? And the women are let go?
I don't think so....do you have any articles about this?
