Hi Chris
You can take it into a market and normally you'll find a phone store that will do it whilst you wait. Its about £10 but its so much easier than trying to do a Sony eric online.

Vodafone do no longer lock their telephones customarily. i might try it with different Sim playing cards in case you may till now going to the hassle of having it unlocked! If it does become locked, take it right into a self reliant telephone shop or a motor vehicle boot sale or maybe some industry stalls do it now.

U need to take it into a Carphone warehouse soemthing like that just ask them n they'll do it. not sure if it costs though probaly.........!
