Yeah sometimes when my team loses, I cannot sleep well and get troubled with thoughts of their loss.
But I did find some ways to combat this, like rounding up my friends who support or betted on the winner, to buy drinks or give a treat.
Another is to remember a match when my played their best football and the joy it brought me watching them. And I don't always go for Finals or Cup victories, because while it will be great if they won, it would be worse if they lost, after coming so close.
Instead I look at the game in that year, which I had watched and made happy seeing them play their best football. In this WC, it was Italy's comprehensive win over Ukraine that gave me, my best moment.
They played well, without being tense and were always in control of the game

There are not "tips"... but just reasonable thinking!!!
Soccer is played by two Teams and each Team has always 50% of chances of winning the game. No matter how good your Team is, you need to take in consideration that the 11 players of the other Team play soccer too, and they play for the win too!!!
So, just think when your Team lose, the fans of the other Team will be happy and the players of your Team have given their best!

Look at photos of ur favorite player or team (of when they were winning). I agree with mickinz, think of a cute player on your team, or talk to someone who also cares about the match, or soccer in general. That always helps me.
Also, you did a good thing coming here to Answers. When I'm down I always check out the questions and answers. There is bound to be something that makes you feel better :)

I just pick on the other team.It cheers me up a whole lot making them feel like c***.Then I'm reminded who won then I get back depressed. But some how my team just always does something to remind me why I liked them in the first place. If this doesn't work think of the cutest player on your team. This cheers me up almost instantly.Oh HENRY & TREZEGUET!!!

I always like to go play when I'm depressed. It helps me realize how much fun the game is even when the results don't go the way I want.

At least you're still alive. Well and healthy, under a roof, with a choice with what food to eat, you can exercise whenever you want.
It's not the end of the world.
