Whenever i turn on my computer a pop-up shows up saying windows has detected spyware, and that my computer is infected. And then some program called pest trap pops up. I did a full system scan on nortan, and it said that no treats were found. Has anyone else had this, if so please help!

pop trap is a fake that tries to scare you into buying its product.

You have to be careful believing everything and the people on here. If Norton is so bad how have they become the standard on the corporate desktop.

Norton is purely a virus scan program. Use SpyBot - Search and Destroy for all your spyware removal. Using that program you can also protect yourself from future contaminations by Immunizing your system (or at least with the version that I have. Make sure you update the software frequently too. That's the best way to keep your system safe.

Pest Trap is a version of Spy Sherriff MalWare.

Download and install AVG antispyware from www.ewido.net and run a complete system scan.Delete whole bugs found in scan.Keep this spyware software in your system ever.The best one ever!

"Pest Trap" itself is spyware, it installs itself and then asks for money to clean non-existent problems -- go to the link in source:
