There is lethal amounts of a chemical called Tannin in acorns. They have to be specially treated to neutralize the chemical.

EDIT
Squirrles and other animals have evolved immunity to them. Hamsters didn't.

No. I *think* it has something in it that could poisin the hamster...but I am not sure. But if it was good for them it would be sold in pet stores for them.

BTW hamsters are lactose intolerant so no cheese or milk.

No they are poisonous.
