Of course it's innocent! We don't even know each other. It is fun. And it is necessary, I mean we all need friends that we can talk to and etc... without having the worry of jealous husbands and wives and etc.... Let's just rock on and have a good time!

I think there is a major difference between friendly flirting and overt flirtations. When someone uses sexual or provocative flirting........no, there's nothing innocent about that at all. It pretty much just lays it out there.
The flirtations that are more fun-loving and friendly usually are classified more as 'teasing' and joking. That can be very innocent.........and can be something very intimate among true friends. But there has to be a good level of trust there as well.
Joking can be fun. And having jokes between two people can even be more fun. But it doesn't necessarily have to constitute flirting.
We're adults......we know the difference.
I think the main thing we all must remember is on-line or not.......the person on the other side of the screen does have a heart.....does have a soul.....and 'feels' as a true person should. Don't fall into the trap of ever forgetting that it isn't just a "font," .......it is a face.
(another good one question)

There is NOTHING wrong with online flirting. It is harmless, and it can only remain that way... (unless it is taken to meeting of course.)
"So, hot stuff, how have you been today? I have been hoing to see the likes of you today." ... see this didn't hurt either of us... and even if I took it a step farther, like this... "I would love to touch your skin..."(keeping it okay for little eyes... it can get much worse!) But you see, I didn't get hurt and nor did you.
Hugs babe!

Guilty. Flirting if done in person, by mail, email, messenger pigeon, message in the bottle, whatever - still flirting.

it's harmless, but it's also completely imaginary. If you start investing emotionally in somebody online, then you've got a problem- especially if there's already someone in your real life.
Personally, I'm not sure how you flirt without body language......

Actually it does serve a purpose. Just keep it mutual and respectable to both parties.

I think it's harmless, although I'm uncomfortable if the man is married. I enjoy it a lot otherwise!
