Is it Asia or Aisa? If it is Asia then here are a couple of ideas: Ayjah or Ajah. If it is Aisa then here are a few ideas: Ayisha, Aysa, Eyisa, Eyisha, Ieesha, Eyeisha, or Eiesia. Good luck and I hope these help!

My niece named her son Ethen....It's usually spelled Ethan...I don't understand why she did it but she did. I don't get why some people really go overboard with names that are difficult to pronounce just by trying to read it, or names that are just plain stupid like the ones stars give their children such as Apple and Blue Ivy. Those poor kids have to live with those names throughout school and for the rest of their lives...Look at Michael Jackson's poor kid named Blanket..I know that his true name is Prince but, even now, his brothers, sisters and family call him Blanket and he is so much older now. And Prince, that is a name for a dog. Sorry. I agree with you...I feel bad for kids with strange names. It's so unfair to the child.

Here is the recommendation from someone with two children who have names spelled different than the traditional way. Although it is nice to have their names be slightly different.. no one but grandma ever gets them spellled correctly on cards etc and at a new doctor etc, no one ever pronounces them right, even though they are not really spelled that different. Honestly, creativity counts, but it is a giant pain. :) (still not changing my little ones names, though !)

Spell it the way it sounds... it'll save the child a large amount of frustration at always having to inform people that no, she's not ay-sha, she's ai-sa, but mommy got creative.
