Take a look at where line starts and where it ends. If the left end is lower than the right end the slope is increasing. If not it is decreasing.

If increasing x values result in increasing y values, then the slope on the line is positive

if increasing x values result in decreasing y values, then the slope of the line is negative

if the graphed line goes up and to the right, the slope is positive.
if the line goes up and to the right, the slope is negative

if it is concave the slope will be increasing and if it is convex the slope will be decreasing
