Not completely. They have a nasty habit of hurling your silverware out of the basket and into the drain opening at the bottom, where they may get bent slightly. If drunk, the mongeese (not the silverware) will also use your tea saucers as frisbees and your sugar and creamer receptacles as bedpans.
And then there's the fur all over the kiddies' foofy cups. So it's for the best to always wash your albino mongeese alone. They tend to not dry completely during the plate-warmer cycle, so one should dry them the rest of the way in the toaster oven, NOT in the toaster itself.
So far, the only thing I've ever found that is not dishwasher safe is me used condoms. They tend to melt into lovely patterns on the dinner plates, so at least it isn't a total loss.

Just make sure they are in the upright position before loading the dishwasher. That's important.

personally i would handwash them. they need lots of love and the dishwasher may really traumatize them. you also want to make sure that the soap is not irritating to their sensitive skin. then towel dry them like you would your newborn baby. you will have a friend for life.

Yes they are, up to a point... You might want to take them out before the dry cycle because it might kill them...
