Botox ( I am considering trying it!)?

Has anyone had botox? in particular around the mouth?? what do you think of it?? does it last long? cost effective?

When you say around the mouth, do you mean the smoker lines or the laugh lines? Botox does not work for the laugh lines but it can be used for the smoker lines around the lips. However, you have to go to a very experienced doctor. If too much Botox is injected into your lips, you may not be able to smile or talk properly. Another alternative is to use dermal fillers such as collagen (Zyplast, Zyderm), or hyaluronic acids (Restylane, Hylofor, Juvaderm). These fillers can be injected into the laugh lines as well as the lips. They last from 2 months to about 6 months.
Also, Botox is one of the safest drugs ever. Everything can be poisonous. It all depends on dosage and concentrations. Breathing 100% oxygen for prolonged period of time can damage lungs whereas 21% oxygen is safe. The amount of Botox used for cosmetic purposes is extremely small. Botox wears off in about 3-4 months (depending on the dose) so there is no long term effect or harm in it.

botox is dangerous. i had a friend who had a terrible reation to botox and now she can never again move her eyebrow area. there are however new treatments like botox that can do the same thing more safely and last longer. ask your dermatologist.

I haven't tried it, and I wouldn't. Botox paralizes the muscles. I can't see how a synthetic product that causes paralization to be of a benefit to the human body.

Oh ya inject toxins into your face to remove wrinkles for about 6 months. If you have money to burn then let me invest it for you so when you run out call me I'll drop you a c note.
Only plastic people do that. Are your boobs fake, are your eyebrows where your hairline used to be.. OK botox is for you
