my ipod is frozen and i cant turn it off how do i fix it?

my ipod is frozen and i cant fix it and no the hold button is not on

hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time. wait till the ipod apple symbol pops up and wait.

take off the hold button. if that's not the case, then press the middle button and then hold the play button to turn it off...
