Contrary to popular belief, it depends on what kind of tumor your father died from as to whether it is hereditary or not. My sister's father died from a brain tumor and now her brother also has one and she was told to get checked because they can be hereditary. Now don't go freaking out, thinking you have a tumor because it is unlikely that you do. You may just be worrying about it because your dad died that way. Please go to a doctor if only to reassure yourself that you are OK.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Brain tumors are not hereditary. The stress you are under or not drinking enough fluids are the #1 causes of headaches!

Get it checked out by your doctor. As for it being hereditary I would have said no. My wife's mother died when my wife was only 12-years old and the cause was a brain tumour. My wife is no 46 and strong as a horse.

Hi, it could be anything, Stress, a head cold, change in wheather. sinus problems. But there is no harm in going to your doctor to get your self checked out. If you are in serious pain and nno pain killer helps then you may have a problem. Dont forget to mention that your dad had a brian tumor.
