Pros: International recognition, prestige, tourism dollars, another place in history (That could be good or bad), money (from television rights, ticket sales, concessions, logo rights etc), brand new facilities for future events and athlete training. New contruction of roads, bridges, transportation upgrades.
Cons: Somebody has to pay for all of this new construction and infrastructure (THAT MEANS HIGHER TAXES FOR THE LITTLE GUY). Brand new facilities that are underused or torn down after the games end. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.

the pros would be the money being spent in the city ,the cons would be the traffic and never being able to get into a restaraunt.
