How does Mary Kay eyeshadow compare to department store brands such as Origins, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Prescriptives, Mac?

(I love Origins and Estee Lauder, but they're so expensive!)

I am a Mary Kay Consultant so I guess I am a bit partial but there is still one thing I don't use Mary Kay b/c I love the color and Mary Kay does not have it. Our eyeshadows are good, they don't fade like a lot of other brands, we also have an eye primer that you put on before your eyeshadow that will keep your eyeshadow on and not smear or crease. You can also get a compact that holds 3 colors and instead of having to buy a whole new set when you run out of one color you can just buy the color you ran out of.

Mary Kay uses all safe and high quality ingredients. personally i think the look and texture of Mary Kay is better than anything you buy in a department store. The colors are beautiful and the consultants are helpful. i obviously recommend Mary Kay.

I'm a little confused with the question but here's what i have to say it depends on the eyeshadow and by primer do you mean base/highlight color? (most people don't use that term for eyeshadow) if you do that has nothing to do with which one your using, it depends if you like outcome with the combination, BUT I do personally use a touch tint under every eyeshadow (touch tint for eyes,Nude Sparkle,Clinique $18 last6months) WITH MY EXPERIENCE, HERE'S THE DIFFERENCE Department Store If You Want/need..... Long-lasting/Better > quality makeup Help picking out your colors makeup for sensitive skin $$$$$ Drug Store...... Temporary Makeup More colors/MORE Brands harder to find what you want makeup tends to be < QUALITY $ cheep I hope i helped

In my not so expert opinion Mary Kay products suck. I myself prefer Bare Minerals. Everything they make has been great. And not tested on critters.

I like Mary Kay, plus it is 100% guaranteed. If you don't like it, you can replace it.
