Here's another way color can affect life - why are many plants green? Because the green color absorbs the frequencies of light that chloroplasts work most efficiently under. (Chloroplasts make chlorophill, which is the plant's source of energy.) That is how color directly affects life. Now, when you talk about how color affects humans, imagine yourself in a room full of bright oranges and yellows compared to a dark room of blue and brown. The latter of the two rooms is definately more relaxing, wouldn't you agree? Also, it is good to have green color, because we associate green with life, and it makes us feel more at home.
