I don't hate either of them. Rats are ok except sometimes they might poop on you, and skunks are ok too if you get them fixed where they can't spray you.

Tis an unfair question if you ask me. I have had the opportunity to interact with rats as pets and de-scented skunks as well. They both are nice and friendly creatures. I think that the problem comes when you start to have more that one present at the time. Personally, I would not like to be around a swarm of rats or a family of skunks. That being said I don't think that I can honestly hate or like, one more than the other.
On a different note, I also object to the word "hate" that is used in this question. It is too strong a word when you are just referring to neutral creatures. "Dislike" would have been a better choice. IMO

Rat,it's teeth are scary. Skunks are cute and though they can spray, they only seem to do so in self defence and appear innocent.

a rat, they're unsanitary and disgusting, skunks are little wild animals that don't hurt anybody, they'll spray you but only if you pose any threat to them...
