What utter knonsense! Come on people, get real. If his leg had become infectious to the point of risking his life they would have amputated it. Not only that, the Egyptians had very advanced medical knowlede for their time and were quite capable of warding of most infections. Most believe that his Advisor/Uncle Aye was the murderer but there are several other theories that float around as well. One thing that is certain is that he was killed by some sort of head trauma. Forensic scientists x-rayed the skull over 20 years ago and found that there was an injury that would indicated a blow to the head. The injury was in a place that is unlikely to be injured by accident. Along with egyptologists they collaborated together and believe he was killed by a blow to the back of his head while sleeping. Further evidence shows that he may not have died from it imidiately but, lingered on for a while while blood continued to swell into the injury. Another theory claims the injury was actually a tumorous growth in his head which killed him. There are other 's who say the blow to the head is not correct because some guy wrote a letter saying he didn't do it, it was the foreigners... doesn't that sound like someone trying to pass the blame? If I were guilty of killing the pharaoh I'd certainly want to say something to prove I'm innocent wouldn't you. I think many murderers choose to deny their actions when brought up on it. Another theory suspects his wife because she wrote a letter to another king asking for him to send one of his sons so that she could marry him because she did not have a son to care for her. However the letter was sent after her husbands death so why is that considered suspicious? In that time and place women syill needed someone to take care of them. It would have been odd if she did not look to remarry. Anyways, here's a link to just one of many sites that talks about this subject. It mentions several theories including the ones I have mentioned her but some are just not logical at all. There's also one sponsered by the egyptian department of tourism that mentions some of the same. Seroiusly, there's about a million of these but they all say pretty much the same thing.

If they find arsenic in his body, he died by being poisoned.

For God so loved the people of the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16,17

murdered. Possibly by a servant or rival that hated his father. His father was a bad pharoah and, as such, the people tried to wipe his entire family from existance.

Apparently he had a fracture in his left knee cap that began to heal itself, but during the healing process it became infected and as there was no penicillin, he died of a fever approximately five days after the injury. (Experts think between one and five days.)
