It is true, you are misinterpreting Newton's third law. Read more about what it really means.
We counteract or overcome gravity when we apply another force to an object in a direction opposite the gravitational force, and with a greater magnitude. We lift a box from the floor by applying enough force to exactly balance the force of gravity, and enough additional force to accelerate it in the intended direction.
We can shield against electric and magnetic forces. We know of no way to shield against gravity. But that's what we'd like to do.

Gravity is a force that keeps us down on the ground. The reason why we don't "float" away is because Isaac Newton's third Law of motions states that there is a opposite force equal to gravity, keeping us to the Earth.
Now if there was an additional force prior to the one already existing against gravity, then we would be going against gravity. It could work, however forces arn't creatable, yet.

It's a good start, but I think you are overgeneralizing Newton's 3rd Law. It doesn't mean that there is some force that is the exact opposite of each other force. It means in any GIVEN reaction, there is an equal reaction. If two electrons fly apart from electrical repulsion, there is not some equal force pulling them back together, they simply fly apart.

The Newtonian reaction to the force of gravity acting on you is the force of the ground pushing up on the soles of your feet!
If you were falling, you would be accelerating towards the Earth, and the reaction would be that the Earth starts to accelerate towards you. Since the Earth is so vastly more massive than you, its movement up towards you is so tiny as to be unmeasureable.
Of course, when you and the Earth meet, the two equal forces are `cancelled' out and the system returns to rest. The energy which was invested in raising you up to a great height (so giving you potential energy) would be converted to movement as you fell (kinetic energy) and then converted again to heat, sound and kinetic energy as you splat against the ground.

currently working forces that tackle this and prove newton are the forces that we currently use today e.g. rockets, airflow and heat. to create an artificial anti gravity force is very in plausible but aren't the best inventions in the world.

Atheist ignore about this rant!! The christian church homes are saying it all in favour of you!! The Pope, Catholic Church, Church of england and mainstream church homes all settle for evolution and the large bang!! Lord Carey the former Archbishop of Canterbury positioned all of it suitable – “Creationism is the fruit of a fundamentalist attitude to scripture, ignoring scholarship and intense gaining understand-how of, and complicated diverse understandings of truth”!!
