Who thinks Joe Torre is done. I do

Torre is almost untouchable.Though he's been talking about retirment for a few years now. If Stienbrenner gets stupid Torre will just retire. I do think some Yankees players are very much history. Stienbrenner focuses heavily on post season peformance. Sheffield is already on the outs with the Yanks and his abysmal playoff performance (not that this is new for him) will be his exit ticket. Abreu came thru during the stretch and had a good post season. Sheffiled couldn't hit, couldn't catch, he's gone. Giambi is another that is probably gone and I'll be glad to see both go. A-Rod is on the hot seat though he shouldn't be. The guy had wicked numbers this year. Just not up to the MVP like season he had last year. So? But for the Yanks that might be enough combined with his horrible hitting in the playoffs. Wright is history. He had a poor year and lost a crucial game. Mussina despite giving the Yanks a good year is up for free agency and it might take all that Cashman and Torre can do to convince Stienbrenner to resign him just because he had a poor outing in the playoffs.

Some of the coachs might take heat as has happened in past years. Instead of firing Torre Stien no brainer fired some coaches instead of firing himself for grabbing up a bunch of do nothing over the hill vets.

If Stienbrenner stops being a stupid, greedy mother ****** he will keep Torre. But that will never happen. Hey Torre the braves could use a catcher mentor like yourself just to make McCann the best catcher in the MLB . Come on over we'd love to have you.
