Too many choices are like illusions, you have to figure that out which one is real. But, sometimes we take a wrong turn and regreat afterwords.
We always lose sight or the sense of direction when there is a open field to walk on.

Life used to be simpler - as for "wants" goes. Before today's instant communications a man went through life with more or less a clear sight of what he wanted, and those ideas or "wants" or "needs" where often shaped in one form or another by religion - religion is spoon fed since birth. The 20th Century changed all that and today's generation is much less his own generation. Mass media instant and ubiquitous manipulation changed all that. It is very easy in today's world to find yourself lost and without rudder, there are so many things - pleasure wise, power wise, material wise - that obscure and obstruct what really matters.

This is why goal setting is good to put on paper. This way you have it in front of you and you will not lose sight of your goals.
try doing a 24 hr goal, then a 30 day goal and so on. here are 4 steps for successful goal setting.
1. decide what you want
2. clarify your values. be sure your goals are reasonable and attainable.
3.write them down!!
4.take action..
make sure after you complete your goal that you reward yourself with a nice dinner or some new shoes. just something for you.

Yes. But far worse is to lose sight because of the things I must do.
