I was thinking about gettin a PDA. I would like to browse the internet on it but I have no wireless internet at home, so I can't get one with WiFi and I don't have a cell phone, so I can't get one with Bluetooth. Is there aPDA that would work in my situation???? Like is there an external modem that you can buy or something?

I'm new to all this so I don't really know what I'm doing. I just want one to play around with and browse the internet on the go and stuff. So if I did get a modem, could I be anywhere and still browse the internet?

Setting up WiFi and/or Bluetooth on your existing computer is fairly easy. You would need to buy a WiFi and/or Bluetooth USB adapter which cost about $60 each. Once you had that installed (which takes seconds to plug in and about 2 minutes to set up), you can use any WiFi and/or Bluetooth enabled device.

I would recommend the Palm Tungsten T/X or the Palm LifeDrive for your needs.

Palm Tungsten T/X (retails for $299)

Palm LifeDrive (retails for $399)

Both PDAs offer WiFi and Bluetooth, built-in Web browser, and other powerful applications, SD card slot for expansion, and a gorgeous large screen. However, the LifeDrive also offers a built-in voice recorder, and a 4GB hard drive for storage of photos, documents, and even DVD movies (with special software).

If you don't want to set up WiFi and/or Bluetooth, you could purchase an older Palm, such a Palm Tungsten C (which also has built-in WiFi if you ever do decide to upgrade) and a Palm modem. The Palm modem are not easily found, but you can look for them on eBay http://www.ebay.com NOTE: a modem would be much slower than a WiFi or Bluetooth connection, so it may be more of annoyance to you to useful.

If I had to choose, I would set up a WiFi connectivity on your computer, and buy a good PDA, such as the Tungsten T/X.

Just buy a bluetooth enabled PDA, doesn't matter if Windows mobile or palm. Buy it plus a bluetooth usb adapter for your Pc and then connect the 2 devices. You can browse the internet on your pda

I feel PDA's, (public exhibits of AFFECTION, no longer love) are OK to an volume. There is a line, and it's crossed while you begin to make others round you uncomfortable. There is a time and a situation for the whole lot. There are specific matters which can be correct for specific areas. I feel making out is best exceptional if you're someplace semi-personal like a avenue or within the nook of a bar or whatever. I paintings in retail and I relatively dislike it while I am serving patrons which can be couples who look to feel that my activity is to look ahead to them to give up making out for them to be served. That is an illustration of no longer correct PDA.

Agree with all of them, just to say setting up a WiFi infrastructure for an adequate PDA is much cheaper than buying a top-of-the-line GPRS Smartphone even the lowest cost Treo 650 still cost an arm and a leg from a cell contract.
