Sure - but you left out the most important part.

Both power and knowledge are blind and destructive unless knowledge becomes wisdom.

"Knowledge is Power" - This has been known and practiced since the beginning of time. Take religions - priests had the knowledge...and the power. Take the First Emperor of China, responsible for China's sleep for so long - he banned knowledge from his people, concentrated all knowledge in one great imperial library, and made it a crime to posess a single script that could mean knowledge. Take today's Premier Power anything and everything is "Classified". On the other hand information is not necessarily knowledge - but it leads to knowledge and power - which is why Power manipulates information. Knowledge, Information, and Power the great Trinity.

In a way, no. What is knowledge is to find the truth, and that information may not be the truth. So the first statement is so so. Knowledge is power if you take it to your advantage if you know how to utilize it, what's the point of knowing if you don't know what you want or what to do with it? So the second statement is also so so!

To an extent i would change the last part of the statement to knowledge is a form of power. After all holding a big club is also a form of power but not one that is based on knowledge.

No i dont, knowing too much can be an overwhelming. The sense of responsibility. The powerlessness, being unable to do anything to improve or change a situation.knowledge can be a curse a person that hes a well educated mind and having to do a mundane job or Career as many women do that can be a very frustrating and unsatisfying experience. Knowledge can be a powerful tool in the right hands, in the wrong hands it can be very unfair.

The statement is linked in a philoshical way...
Without knowledge, there is no power. And without no information, one cannot gain knowledge. All this is linked....
I agree with this statement, mind-boggeling!

The power of knowledge is only as proportionate and profound with what you DO and how you ACT with that knowledge. You could have aced your way to Medical School but what good does it do if you don't practice it?

I couldn't agree more. If we are well-informed and have knowledge, we can persuade people. And when a number of reasonable people unite together, there is nothing in this world they can't do.
