i think my another yahoo id is hacked. I can;'t log in to my accouunt with my password. the following, i have received an e-mail which said the following-

Your Yahoo! ID is: world_sucker
Your password for this account has recently been changed. You don't
need to do anything, this message is simply a notification to protect
the security of your account.

Please note: your new password may take awhile to activate. If it
doesn't work on your first try, please try it again later.

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. For further help or to contact support, please
see http://help.yahoo.com/help/edit/

2. Click on any "Account Info" link
3. Choose "Change Password"

I went to the link, it didn't help and the e-mail did not provide me the new password. i have some great friends on my messenger list whose id i can't remember and who i dont want to lose. HOw do i get the new password. also, i coudn't finmd account ifo at the right hand corener either.

When you try to log into your account you should see a link that says forgot your ID or password, click on that and fill out the necessary information you should be able to retrieve your password. I would also change it to something new.


To CarlyP: The first line of his question said "my other Yahoo ID" that's how he logged in here.

Someone has gotten hold of your password, and changed it to prevent you logging into your own account. Seems to be a lot of this going around at the moment.

Try contacting Yahoo directly. The fact you are the owner of the contact email address may allow them to return access to your account.

You may want to run malware scans on your computer, and take advantage of Yahoos newer security features to prevent this from happening again.

idk but once i did shockwave. had to get another account BTW because they wouldn't let me log in. sorry bout that though GL. you did a good job asking though. how are you asking this without loing in BTW. i would like to know.
