Depends on what you want.
In the spring you can see all the sakura trees in full bloom, but by the time of June it officially becomes the rain season (tsuyu) and, well, rain is dreary and never any fun.

In the summer it can get really, really hot but it's also the time of festivals and fireworks. If you are used to humidity and don't have too much of a problem with sweat, it would be a fun time.

The start of autumn brings out typhoons and (like rain) those are not much fun. But it also brings out the change of leaves and sometimes autumn color viewing can be more fun than sakura viewing.

During winter it snows and, if you like skiing and snowboarding, it'd be a good time to go. However, because it's winter you are more likely to get a cold. If you do go there, try to remember to wear a white mask (like what you wear when painting so you don't breathe in all the fumes) so as to not spread it to others.

Fall and Spring I would say are the best.

After typhon season in Sept, mid-late October usually has great weather. Clear skies, mild weather, changing leaves.

Spring, early april has a week to two weeks of cherry blossoms. Usually the weather is good as well but you can have some spring showers and cold evenings.

Winter actually not all that bad either. while the tempatures are low, the skies are often clear and sunny making for some great photos.

Summer has alot of festivals but the weather is unpredictable and very humid. Last summer it rained quite alot.

i'm already conscious that this became a question from 2 years in the past , yet i prefer to share my opinion approximately this. at first good question , i'm not an american myself , (from someplace you do not anticipate ) , a million)i like anime and manga for his or her animation form and high quality and frequently for the tale ( If the tale is nice I watch the anime or examine the manga ,If the tale would not attraction to me I drop the anime at episode 3 or 4 frequently) 2)As while did this initiate , as I stated not an american , yet in the place I stay I purely understand very few anime followers . ( i does not call them otaku ,by way of fact everybody has their ecosystem and socialize with human beings ,and that i purely understand in my view 2 of them . And playstation : i wish to bypass to japan sometime for its cultural background first ,then for anime and manga cons ( in no way went to a minimum of one ) ( & you are able to not deny a rustic's background for some animation which comes from it.) Plus ,BTW i'm engaged on 2 mangas ,I had a narrative and planned the script for years now , and that i got here across that it is the way which "feels like me the main" to particular myself ( not partial to novels that are long purely to fill pages ,and that i'm an artwork fan frequently and a manga fan specially ) i wish i could have the means to positioned up them and make human beings get excitement from examining my mangas ( the two artwork and storyline )
