you have to have a special tool for it other wise take it to a bmw dealer and they can do it for you

Peake reset procedures would be bought for about $50 on eBay. community garages with the device will value approximately $5 for a reset. in case you're friendly with the BMW provider tech/rep, they'd be keen to assist you to with a loose reset. yet do no longer assume them doing the want every time.

Buy a Draper "Service Key For BMW" Draper tools part No. 51540 and re set it... easy ! (or borrow one). Many BMW entusiasts have one of these, I certainly do and it works perfectly.

push and hold trip meter button switch ignition on service reset should then be displayed then switch ignition off
