There is NO such thing as blue blood in a person. Your veins look blue cause you're looking at them through your skin. Your blood is really like a dark or deep red. Check out this site if you need more info: http://www.globalclassroom.org/blublud.html

Blue blood is blood that flows through your veins that has not had an oxygen encounter yet. I prefer blue because I like the color better than red and I like for my blood to stay in my veins where it belongs.

Blue blood is royal blood. Comes from the belief that all royals had the blood anti-clotting disease. So if you pricked a royal with a needle he bled to death. It came from inbreeding with only other royals. I have some blue blood on my mother's side.

The blood in the veins on the way to the heart appears darker and bluish. After it reaches the lungs and is oxygenated it appears bright red.
