I am just curious because now I am a young man, and one day I will be an old man. I hope to have sex until the day I die but I suppose it has alot to do with the positive health habits one maintains through life that will affect their ability to have sex in the golden years. Additionally, how is the sex in the golden years as compared to the more youthful years?

They do, and I know this because I used to work for a urologist. Some of his patients were in their 70's and 80's, and he was treating them for erectile dysfunction. As far as the second part of your question goes, I assume it is probably a bit less acrobatic, but more of an expression of love and desire.

I know it's just a movie, but "Coccoon" has a great scene related to this topic!

They sure do!

Teenagers and the Elderly are the two age groups that studies consistently find think about sex the most. Whoo hoo!

Functionally, things may work a little differently. Erectile Disfuntion may become a problem. Women may have trouble lubricating as they go through menopause, but there are over the counter lubricants to help the process. If mobility is restricted by osteoperosis or just old age (usually in the 70s-80s), sex may be restricted to hand stimulation. But yes, if you're in good shape, you may be having sex right up until you die- exactly what kind, how exhuberent, and in what positions, well, that may change a little.

So, be healthy now to ensure your future sexual success!

Good luck :)

Well, there is no perfect answer for you.

Yes men over 60 still have sex. And the number is much better than it use to be thanks to Viagra...lol. However erectile disfunction is increasing dramatically. If it's not due to health problems it's the medicine that affects you.

I will say that women over 60 are still very much interested in having sex and that is the largest growing group of adultresses. Men cheat when they are younger, women when they are older.

But keep in mind a big part of women's sex drive is directly connected to the husbands non-attentive nature. He'd rather watch TV then be intimate or just plain do things with his wife. Women are tired of that and just want interaction, mentally and physically. Thats why they are in the fastest growing group.

Your sex life over 60 can still be a good one if you... pay attention to your wife and turn the TV off. And take Viagra as needed...lol

I had a friend who was 83 when she married a 69 yr old man. She told me they had to get a bigger bed because he was chasing her around it at night. She was giggling. She was also blind! That gave me hope for the rest of my life. Better an old dog with a bone than a young pup with none.

They sure do!

Probably not as often or for as long, but I'm sure the sex drive is one of the last things to go!

My hubby is 57 and he wears me out!

My husband's dad continued to have children up in his 70's so obviously he was able to. But I bet it does make for a more frequent and enjoyable event if you take good care of yourself.
