Although Columbus Day is actually on October 12th every year, it's usually observed the Monday before. Most government agencies will be closed tomorrow, but not all. I work at an university and we will be open.

No, whenever they have a holiday during the weekdays, the feds always decare Monday as the holiday, so all the govt. employees can have a 3 day weekend. The real Columbus Day is Thursday.
