Was it plugged in? When the battery goes low, it may be automatically programmed to hibernate. This setting can be changed in the power settings in the control panel (assuming your using a windows machine.). Or the battery may be defecting, which is not a rare occurrence now.

Oh...that's easy.

What's happening is...even though the computer is copying songs from cd...it's still considered Idle...cause you're not doing anything else. Click/moving the mouse or hitting a key every once in a while should make it aware that you are present. The technical way to get rid of this is....

Go to the start menu> Control Panel (this may be under settings), and select power options. I'm currently working on mine right now...and I can't quite remember. Check the tabs at the top of the window. You're looking for something that says...After a certain number of minutes, hibernate. Just change the time thing to 'never'.

If, it's just doing this as soon as you start copying...then you have a problem. email me if this persists...

Go to your control panel. In display options, go to screen saver. There is a button that says power... Push the power button. In Power schems, select "never" in the all of the drop down boxes. Don't forget to apply changes by pusing the apply button on the bottom. Now go to the tab on top where it says Hibernate. Uncheck the box and apply changes.

Next time you turn your computer on go to the control panel and then select power options and here you can set when you want the computer to hibernate if at all. Hibernation is set to save battery life if you are not using the computer whilst it is still on.

Right click on ur desktop screen, click on Properties, Click on Screen Saver, then Click on Monitor Power....now make sure all the options say "NEVER", if they don't, just change them. Some may say "Hibernate after 15 minutes". Change to "NEVER"

Good Luck!
