im still waiting for my gift for our first annversiry. its a month late!!!! how do i get my husband to understand that something is imp to me.

It is imperative that both you AND your husband read a book called "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. It could save your marriage. And yes, your marriage does need saving. It is obvious that you and your hubby speak different love languages. The book is wonderful. It will help your husband understand why this is so important to you. This book quite possibly saved my marriage, so I am telling you from first hand experience. If you don't read it you will continue speaking the wrong love language to each other and your marriage will only get worse. I am certain of it.

Sounds a little like he's not the sort of guy who bothers with gifts and anniversaries. Tell him that this is important to you, or at least bring the subject up with memories of past events you've enjoyed together. If that doesn't shift him, there's always arsenic.

communications......it's vital not only in a relationship. first of all it's the beginning of the relationship only and no question why is it late cause not matter what this should not be happening. talk about it, it's no point to harbour it in your heart cause it will only kill yourself later on, you will not explode now but there will be more challenges to come so talk about it and have good communications be open and it's not time to confront and argue but get to understand the situations and there's nothing wrong even to voice out your disappointment cause there should not be any thing hidden in a relationship. if your partner can't take on to your disappointment for a start i fell very sorry for you.
