It is easy to have romantic ideas about different times but in reality I think modern times are about the easiest to live in. Have you ever looked at pictures of the people in the old west or out on the plains in a sod house. They looked absolutely miserable. They had no social life. They had to make everything they had. No Charmin.
I have a friend who was an air crewman on a B-17 in WW2. He said he remembered seeing planes come in so shot up that you could see daylight through them as they flew over. So the 40's are out. Although the music was good. No Charmin
The medieval times had the plague and no Charmin so thats out.
I guess I will stick with now.

I feel I should/could have lived in ancient Greece. I am fascinated by everything with that culture and history. I love the mythology and stories that are still told today. I was especially drawn to the oracle at Delphi. I travelled to Greece in 1998 for a school trip and when we went to Delphi, up in the mountains, I have never felt more at home than I did there. It was a very interesting experience.
P.S. That was a great question!

One must understand the idea of reincarnation. We are not bodies having a spirit-soul. We are spirit-soul having a body. Our physical bodies can only last for so long and if the life of the physical body ended prematurely, then whatever energy was left over from that life carries on to the "new" earthly life of that spirit.
Mine was as a farmer-pheasant during the Second World War.

I have learned to trust my dreams since I was a child. Research is done later by myself or my friends based upon the facts received in the dreams. One such dream ...I was a white child, grew up as an Indian woman, married to an Indian woman in the "High Plains" of America. I adopted their way of life. They accepted me. I was the hunter/warrior, with the other men. She was a bascket weaver/shaman/medicine woman. The people were known as the "Water Gatherers"/ the "Water People". Turned out, research showed it was the last French- American Indian War, near one of the Great Lakes, a massacre, no on survived in the village.

Funny thing. Over your life time you really do live through a number of eras. Remember my motherinlaw, gone many yrs now. But she was over 80 when she died. We were watching a man walking on the moon. She said this, I saw the first car, bit never could I have imagined I would live to see this. Imagine all the eras she did live through. Now that I am older I see what she meant.

I liked the 50s, but, let's face it, they aren't coming back any time soon.
As an alternative, I would have to say ca. 1200, England. It would have been a great time to get into the wool trade (English wool to the Netherlands; woven cloth back; sell the woven cloth in England, and so on. Very lucrative.). Of course, it would have been a rotten time to have gotten ill, or pregnant, or have anything wrong with your teeth.

I love the great outdoors and I am happiest when I am camping, backpacking, or hiking in the woods. I would have loved to live in the days when the earliest settlers were living in the American frontier. I can do without the electricity and cable. I can even live without Yahoo!Answers if necessary.

I would say the 1920's. Before the feminist movement (they ruined it for women). Everyone still had morals and beliefs. We still had war and poverty, but there were actually reasons for it not like today when people are just lazy and do not want to work. Family was most important.
