There are many types of goals in life; long term, short term and all that is inbetween.

You need to make sure they are realistic in nature, that you have what it takes to accomplish them and that it isn't just all about you.

I go by my Christian beliefs and ask God what His will is for my life. He has shown me different avenues and they have been very interesting. If it is His will, He gives us what it takes to accomplish the task. If we go off on our own and not heed His urgings, we can really make a mess of things.

Choose wisely.

setting goals for yourself is great; start with a few short term goals and set maybe a few long term goals . when you achive the short term goals it will make you long term goals seem easy to reach Good Luck
