In Connecticut currently some are trying to force a little 7 year old girl, who is the leading scorer in her flag football league, from playing. Why? Because she is a female.

Now, myself growing up I played 3 sports - soccer, ice hockey & baseball. I played on guys teams until I was 26. I can't see what peoples problems with this are.

What is your opinion? Is there a problem with girls and boys playing sports together on the same field? And if there is, why is it a problem if the genders are as equally talented as each other?

No problem until adolescence where the power difference is significant and the girls are at a greater risk of getting injured. This is a population perspective. Of course, there are girls that are as strong, solid, and tough as some of the boys they would play with. On a case by case consideration, it depends.

Adult Coed soccer, for example, does adjust it's rules so that any aggressiveness by a male toward a female is significantly penalized. It's the risk of injury.

There is no reason a 7 year old girl shouldn't be playing flag football with 7 year old boys. Idiotic to think otherwise.

Now, my daughter started with baseball and I switched her to softball for a couple of reasons. 1>Prejudice. Unless the coach had a daughter on the team, the girl would get minimal effort from the coach. Unless she was the true star of the team. 2>Social. A girl needs to make friends. Girlfriends! To develop a girl-centered social infrastructure, a girl needs to play with other girls. It will help with surviving Middle School and High School. Of course, playing baseball with the boys and soccer with the girls would be a fine arrangement, too.

my opinion is, the sooner this society intergrates the better

that is, women should probably not be out on a football field with NFL players getting tackled, or in combat getting shot at, there are some things that women should not do,

the football thing, i would think theres too much risk of getting hurt, if you think im wrong for that i respect that,

there was a woman who was a kicker at the college level that really didnt work out, not her fault i dont think, didnt end in injury either,

and the combat thing, if the woman is captured she is raped, and quite honestly, im just not comfortable putting women in that situation,

im not really happy about war to begin with

sorry, the intellectual cap again

There is physical limitation. For example, it is unfair to have a boxing match between a heavy and light weight.
I don't think it is a gender issue, and i think if the sport does not require certain physical attributes then they may play together.

no, the muscle mass and overall strength is to unfair, and telling guys to go "easy" will only hurt there performance, and while some girls can take the heat many more cannot and if you deny those that cannot there will be more feminazi lawsuits out there then we would know what to do with

NO! .. and i played alot of sports in my school years, boys have greater upper body strength than girls(don't get mad.it's a fact it's how we are made)there are exceptions to that rule in some cases like women who lift weights, i do yet i am still not as strong as my ex, or my sons who don't lift weights at all, they are just stronger .girls should have their own teams like boys do ,i wish it was like that when i was in high school. and then there are some boys who get offended and feel threatened if a girl does something a little better than he does 'cause he's not mature enough to deal with it yet.(feminists-don't say anything-'cause i am right )THERE IS ONLY ONE SPORT BOYS AND GIRLS SHOULD PLAY TOGETHER,AND I DON'T HAVE TO SPELL THAT OUT TO YOU ...DO I???

As long as the boys keep their balls away from the girls, it shouldn't be a problem.
